RAQ is excited to announce that the Queensland Government has selected Relationships Australia (QLD) to provide much needed Family and Domestic Violence services for both Rockhampton and Longreach.
RAQ has long been an advocate of such services and we now have an opportunity to increase our service delivery in these regions. We will be working closely within the service provider network and look forward to the ongoing successful collaborative partnerships with Helem Yumba and the Rockhampton Women’s Health Centre.
Longreach has experienced a number of very difficult years with the drought and economic impact on local businesses, services and families. RAQ has been committed to this community and has led the coordinated community response to DV for the past seven years. We have advocated for specialist DV services to be provided within this community and it is particularly exciting that RAQ now has the opportunity to deliver these services.
