Bowen, in recent times has become a "hub" for "fly in and fly out" mining operations which has provided Relationships Australia with some unique opportunities and challenges.
In addition to the services listed below Bowen also operates the Family Intervention Service in partnership with the Department Of Child safety. Bowen Staff also work closely with other community service providers in the area and are able to receive referrals from, and make referrals to a variety of other services.

The nearest major crossroads are Herbert St and Powell St. A Relationships Australia sign is situated on the fence between Mitre 10 and the Bowen Medical Centre. A sign is also located on the outside of the office building.
